Spices. Don’t forget to add a little flavor to your food! Not only will spices encourage you to keep eating a healthy diet; many of them carry health benefits of their own. Cinnamon can help regulate blood sugar, tumeric and ginger contain powerful anti-inflammatory agents, and garlic can ward off cancer and heart disease.

As you add these powerful superfoods to your diet, keep in mind that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. It’s best to prevent health problems rather than try to cure them through diet. If you’re already experiencing any age-related diseases, remember to keep going to your doctor and taking any prescribed medications. Diet can help you achieve gradual health changes, but give your body time to respond to your improved level of nutrition.
